vv19.png  Your CADS, sketches and conceptual layouts can be evaluated by e-mailing  john_design@galtwine.com.  There are an infinite number of combinations of "kit" or "custom" racks.  No 2 collections or objectives are necessarily the same.

Are we trying to impress the neighbors or cram as many bottles as possible into a limited space.  Is this hobby going to grow appreciably?  Commercial (merchandising)?  Function versus form, bottle and case formats, budget ... every client is different.

So, we don't "design" wine cellars in the sense that we arbitrarily tell a client what they need - no one can.  On the other hand, we do work with folks in exchanging questions and answers, making suggestions and defining the most effective layout to meet their priorities.  So, we provide "design services" at no charge.

For large projects, we will require a retainer and a signed confidentiality agreement before any drawings are provided.

Under no circumstances will we provide pricing on drawings, materials lists or data that is obviously the work product of a 3d party vendor.  Any prospective client that has contacted a re-seller (or 2), taken their staff's time in providing assistance and is now just shopping around for the sake of a few bucks, might strongly consider the ethical implications.  We don't exploit others' work product.  Our relationships with colleagues, vendors and even our competitors is significantly more important than any transaction.

Our clients' costs are always lower, but we don't expect any 3d party - even "competitors" - to provide services without compensation.

90% of the racking advertised on web sites and mail order catalogs comes from one of very few sources.  Redwood or mahogany are the most appropriate species - alternatives can present functional or structural issues eventually.  Any metal components can transfer vibration, scrape labels or fail to hold all standard formats and should be avoided in any long term storage application.

Whether a buck a bottle, ~ $2 - $3 a bottle or the more elaborate $4 and more, we'll help define the most appropriate fit.  As a starting point, the links below will represent the most cost-effective approach.  The second will offer the greatest diversity of choices among racks with superior esthetic and structural integrity.  Vintage View racks offer a unique solution for unique spaces or for display (ignore any pricing, our clients always pay less).

There are couple of alternatives to these wine rack systems and we'll be glad to explore them with you. But as often as not you will find what you need among these choices - without overwhelming you with too many choices.
